Ballantine's Finest had a message: there's no wrong way to mix. The brief was to bring that to life across nine social films, each one showcasing a different serve and sparking curiosity in an audience that might never have considered whisky as a mixer. Oat milk and Ballantine's. Why not?

Approach


Illustrated storyboards for shoot and post-production
The format had to feel accessible, not aspirational. These weren't cocktail bar serves for trained bartenders; they were real combinations anyone could try at home.
The creative direction leaned into the follow-along, how-to format: fast-paced, consumable, and built around a realistic outcome. Supporting graphics kept each step clear without slowing the pace. The goal was to leave the viewer thinking they could do it themselves, because they could.

Process
The project ran end to end. Creative ideation and video flow came first, followed by storyboards for all nine films to establish consistency across the series before a single frame was shot.
On shoot, I worked alongside the director and camera team to ensure the storyboarded vision translated on set. Post-production followed the same through-line: assisting the colour grader before taking the edit and graphics through to final delivery. Owning the project across every stage meant the nine films held together as a series rather than nine separate pieces of content.
